Mi5 runs on the Microsoft Windows Server platform. We are also targeting the Microsoft Windows Azure platform a flexible cloud–computing platform that lets you focus on solving business problems and not computing hardware, software or licensing problems.

For local in-house installation, the key server components are:

• Microsoft Windows 2008 or R2 (Web Edition as a minimum)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 with Reporting Services (or Express Edition with Advanced Services)
• Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS 7 or IIS 7.5)
• Microsoft .NET Framework V4.0

Internet Information Server (IIS) comes as part of the Windows Server operating system.

For the Windows Azure platform, we'll take care of all the hardware and software. Pay only for what you use on a monthly basis. More details will be announced closer to availability planned for 1Q 2011.
